FOOTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jake Perez, Middleton: Ran for 215 yards and three touchdowns on 35 carries to lead the Vikings to a 26-12 upset of No. 4 Timberline.

Josh Glance, Capital: Racked up 10 tackles, a tackle for loss and a fumble recovery in a 44-3 rout of Centennial.

Noah Burnham, Eagle: Ran for 177 yards and three touchdowns, and threw for another score, in a 34-20 win at previously undefeated Owyhee.

Luke Abernathey, Rocky Mountain: Made nine tackles and added two sacks to lead a defense that held Meridian to 48 total yards in a 69-0 victory.

Mason Garcia, Mountain View: Made nine tackles, grabbed an interception and returned a fumble 38 yards for a touchdown in a 34-20 win against Boise.

Jackson Cheslak, Columbia: Ran for 170 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries to lead the Wildcats to their first win over Emmett in seven years.

Boston Huskey, Bishop Kelly: Turned three catches into 82 yards and two touchdowns in a 64-0 rout of Skyview.

Jesus Alvarez, Caldwell: Racked up 17 tackles, four tackles for loss, two interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in a 19-7 loss to Wood River.

Titus Vidlak, Fruitland: Went 8-for-12 for 166 yards and four TDs through the air, adding another 28 yards and another score on the ground, in a 47-6 win over Payette.

Xavier Uranga, Homedale: Completed 9-of-14 passes for 182 yards and three touchdowns in a 24-14 victory against Weiser.

Colt Value, McCall-Donnelly: Ran for 92 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries in a 44-7 win vs. Cole Valley Christian.

Jace Waggoner, Tri-Valley: Accounted for eight touchdowns and 499 yards of offense in a 70-46 win at Salmon River. He also grabbed three interceptions and made seven tackles on defense.
