BOYS BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Gabe Eddins, Centennial: Averaged 22 points and five rebounds to start the Patriots’ season with wins over Vallivue and Mountain Home.

Luke Soltau, Boise: Averaged 14.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and six assists in victories over Bishop Kelly and Capital.

Boden Howell, Owyhee: Scored 18 points in a 56-46 win over Kimball, Texas, the top-ranked team in Texas’ third-largest classification.

Landon Starnes, Mountain View: Racked up 19 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 67-54 win at Canyon Ridge.

Quincey Clay, Capital: Finished with 21 points, two assists and three steals in a 78-36 rout of Emmett.

Josh Mizar, Weiser: Posted double-doubles in wins over Nampa Christian and Ontario, averaging 25 points, 15.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.5 steals.

Lincoln Mathis, Ambrose: Recorded 17 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Homedale. He then added 19 points, nine rebounds and five assists in a rout of Vision Charter.

Cody Luce, Victory Charter: Racked up 27 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals in a 70-58 win over Garden Valley.

Trey Martiny, Idaho City: Put up 18 points and eight rebounds in a 54-49 win at Centennial Baptist.

Luis Varga, Notus: Scored 24 points in a 63-53 win against Compass Charter. He also had eight points, five rebounds and five steals in a 44-39 win over Oregon’s Jordan Valley.
