BOYS BASKETBALL

Alex Ko, Timberline: Scored 19 points in a 61-42 win over Middleton that sent the Wolves to state. He averaged 13.5 points and 3.5 rebounds as Timberline advanced to the 5A District Three Tournament championship game.

Jackson Rasmussen, Owyhee: Racked up 15 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks in a 65-38 win over Centennial in the 5A District Three Tournament semifinals to clinch the Storm a state tournament berth.

Cutter Beus, Melba: Broke a 47-year-old, single-season program record for rebounds (420) while averaging 30.7 points and 16.3 rebounds at the 2A District Three Tournament.

Landon Christensen, New Plymouth: Drained a program-record 13 3-pointers and scored 39 points in a 96-43 win over North Star Charter in the 2A District Three Tournament.

Danny Lomeli, Homedale: Posted 16 points, five assists and four steals in a 60-45 win over Weiser in the 3A District Three Tournament semifinals, clinching the Trojans a spot at state.

Blake Hansen, Columbia: Erupted for 32 points in a 71-71 win over Skyview in the first round of the 4A District Three Tournament.

Tyson Hughes, Ambrose: Scored a game-high 30 points to clinch the Archers a spot at state with a 62-48 win over Melba in the 2A District Three Tournament semifinals.

David McNamara, Capital: Sank 6-of-7 3-pointers and finished with 24 points, five rebounds and two assists in a 72-69 upset of Meridian in the 5A District Three Tournament losers’ bracket.

Luke Starner, Liberty Charter: Had 19 points, five rebounds, four steals and two assists in a 60-35 win over Vision Charter in the 1A Division I District Three Tournament semifinals, clinching the Patriots a state tournament berth.
