BOYS BASKETBALL
Liam Campbell, Owyhee: Led the Storm to a season-opening 62-45 win over Eagle with 20 points on 8-for-9 shooting, plus six rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Alex Ko, Timberline: Helped the Wolves stay unbeaten with 17 points and six rebounds in a 51-40 win over Ridgevue. Ko was 2-for-2 from 3-point range and 7-for-10 from the free-throw line.
Eli Kingery, Cole Valley Christian: The Chargers won the Ririe Tournament with victories against South Fremont, Soda Springs and Teton. Kingery averaged 16 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals per game.
Derrick Walker, New Plymouth: Led the Pilgrims to a 4-0 record by averaging 17.5 points per game while shooting 67% from two-point range, 50% from 3-point range and 80% from the free-throw line.
Kylan Klemp, Gem State: Led the Jaguars to a 47-46 win over Idaho City with 30 points.
Jason Koval, Riverstone: Averaged 24.5 points per game as the Otters went 3-1 on the week, including wins over Greenleaf, North Star Charter and Hansen.
Parker Lambert, Middleton: Helped the Vikings remain unbeaten with 23 points, four rebounds and three assists against Skyview, and 21 points and eight rebounds against Kuna.
Kolin Cook, Weiser: Averaged 23 points per game in the Wolverines’ victories over Nyssa (Ore.) and Gooding.
Layth Bromgard, Horseshoe Bend: Recorded two double-doubles on the week, totaling 14 points and 14 rebounds in a win over Wilder, and 18 points and 16 rebounds in a loss to Garden Valley.
Tyler Thurston, Cascade: Averaged 18.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game as Cascade went 2-1 on the week.
