4A All-Idaho girls basketball team | 2024-2025

Note: Coaches in each classification select the All-Idaho teams. The Idaho Statesman hosts the voting process and publishes the results.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR: BRIANNE BAILEY, SOUTH FREMONT

The pick: The 5-11 senior point guard ended her high school career with a jaw-dropping list of numbers, leading 4A in points (17.0) and rebounds (10.2) while adding 5.5 assists and 3.8 steals per game. She recorded 18 double-doubles and three triple-doubles to lead the Cougars to the state semifinals for the second time in history.

Coach’s comment: “She elevates the level of play of everyone around her with her work ethic, discipline and skill set,” South Fremont coach Brooke Bailey said.

What others are saying: “Her best quality is her unselfishness,” Fruitland coach Willie Lake said. “She is as unselfish as she is talented. That’s not something you see often.”

What’s next: She signed with Montana State after receiving 15 Division I offers.

ANDEE PETTERSON, SUGAR-SALEM

Diggers coach Crystal Dayley called the 5-6 sophomore point guard “the best passer I’ve ever coached.” It’s not hard to see why after she averaged 10.5 points and a 4A-leading 7.1 assists per game. But she also was 4A’s top shooter, hitting 41% of her 3-pointers.

HALLE WELLS, BEAR LAKE

The 6-1 sophomore forward is already making her second appearance on an all-state team. The larger classification proved no problem for Wells, who led the Bears back to the finals by averaging 14.1 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.2 blocks.

MALIA MILLER, TIMBERLAKE

The heady point guard led the Tigers to a third-place finish as the leader on both ends of the floor. The 5-6 junior trailed only Bailey as an offensive force with 16.5 points per game. But she also added 4.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 3.6 steals a night.

TAYA PLEW, KIMBERLY

Opponents cooked up all sorts of schemes to slow the 5-11 sophomore guard. Few worked as she put up 16.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. Her shooting topped the scouting report with 60 made 3-pointers, the most in 4A. But she could score all over the floor.

COACH OF THE YEAR: CRYSTAL DAYLEY, SUGAR-SALEM

The Diggers (26-0) completed a perfect season, winning by an average of 24.6 points, for her fifth title.
