Idaho high school girls basketball rankings: The top-ranked teams with state on horizon

The Idaho high school girls basketball state championships invade the Treasure Valley next week, and media members throughout the state made their final picks as the postseason heats up.

Despite being upset by Eagle in the 6A District Three Tournament semifinals over the weekend, Owyhee held on to the No. 1 spot in the classification, while Middleton (5A), Sugar-Salem (4A), Malad (3A), Oakley (2A) and Genesee (1A) received top billing in the other classifications.

Eight teams from Southwest Idaho ranked in the top 5 in various classifications.
