GIRLS BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tiana Sorenson, Homedale: Helped the Trojans earn their first 4A SRV win of the season, contributing 19 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots in a 50-38 win over Payette.
Miriam Stafford, Capital: The Eagles went 2-1 on the week as this junior guard averaged 16 points, four rebounds and two steals per game, including hitting a combined 11 3-pointers.
Jaeda Morrison, Kuna: Notched 28 points for the Kavemen in a victory over University (WA) and 15 points in a win against McCall-Donnelly.
Hailey Hove, Garden Valley: The freshman had a standout game in a 45-38 win over Victory Charter, scoring a team-leading 26 points, including a 5-for-8 performance from 3-point range, to go with seven steals.
Kiet Martinez, Meridian: Dropped 28 points to lead the Warriors to a 58-48 nonconference victory over Emmett.
McKenna Durrant, Ridgevue: Averaged a double-double of 13.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game in the Warhawks’ wins over Burley, Emmett and McCall-Donnelly.
Logan Sailors, Rocky Mountain: Led the Grizzlies to wins over University (WA), Mountain Home and Emmett, including scoring 22 points with five steals, four rebounds and two assists against the Tigers.
Miley Steele, Middleton: Averaged 13 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.5 blocks per game as the Vikings defeated Eagle and Madison.
Reanna Byers, Compass Charter: Racked up 17 points, four rebounds, two steals and one assist to help the Aviators defeat Centennial Baptist 56-28.
