3A All-Idaho softball team: All-state awards for the state’s top players

Note: The All-Idaho teams are chosen by each classification’s coaches. The Idaho Statesman hosts the voting process and publishes the results.

IDAHO 3A SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Peyton Shook

Nampa Christian, sr., P/2B

The NNU signee ended her career as a repeat player of the year. She led the Trojans to an undefeated season (23-0) and back-to-back titles, going 17-0 with a 0.98 ERA in the circle. She was arguably just as tough at the plate, hitting .575 with five home runs and 45 RBIs.

IDAHO 3A SOFTBALL COACH OF THE YEAR

Ericka Robertson

North Fremont

She led the Huskies (22-3) to the second trophy in program history, finishing third after entering state as the No. 7 seed.

IDAHO 3A SOFTBALL ALL-STATE FIRST TEAM

Breanna Comstock

Wendell, sr., P/SS

She made her third all-state team as a two-way force. She went 20-8 with a 3.03 ERA and 234 strikeouts, and hit .616 with 12 home runs and 51 RBIs.

Kinlea Cole

Parma, so., CF/LF

The leadoff hitter provided the state runner-up a spark all season long, leading 3A in runs (66) and stolen bases (41) while hitting .667.

Addison Gray

Nampa Christian, sr., C/UTIL

A repeat first-team pick, the backstop provided leadership and swung a potent bat, hitting .680 with 37 RBIs and 53 runs scored.

Abby Jackson

Salmon, sr., P/1B

The Lassen CC commit battled through a broken thumb to go 7-6 with a 4.33 ERA. She hit .648, slugged 1.148 and drove in 37 runs.

Quenna Hartley

Nampa Christian, fr., 2B/P

The freshman went 6-0 and led 3A in ERA (0.72) and saves (six). The cleanup hitter also raked with a .568 average and nine home runs.

Nalani Van Tuyl

Parma, fr., C/UTIL

She made an immediate impact for the Panthers, hitting four of her eight home runs at state and finishing the year hitting .506 with 47 RBIs.

Peyton Lenz

North Fremont

The all-class leader in wins (22-8), innings (162 ⅔) and complete games (29) also hit .459 with 32 RBIs to make her third all-state team.

Malena Munoz

Kellogg, so., 3B/CF

The Wildcats needed a third baseman this season, and Munoz stepped up. She hit .577 with 20 RBIs and stole 13 bases.

Ana Davis

Soda Springs, jr., SS/3B

She led 3A in batting average (.686), on-base (.746) and slugging percentage (1.392) to make her second all-state appearance.

Liddia Gonzalez

Malad, jr., P/CF

Opponents could only hit .205 off the right-hander, who finished 15-3 with a 2.38 ERA to carry the Dragons to a fourth-place trophy at state.

Caryss Barger

Grangeville, sr., 3B/C

She cranked 12 home runs to tie Comstock atop the 3A leaderboard, adding a .563 average, 42 RBIs and 24 stolen bases.
