Polls close at noon Wednesday. Read about all the candidates and their accomplishments below.

You can vote multiple times. This is meant to be a fun way to show support for athletes. This is not meant to be scientific.

Nominations are submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman.

BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Preston Flournoy, Mountain View: Threw 6 ⅓ scoreless innings in two appearances, giving up four hits and striking out six. He also went 5-for-9 with two doubles, two home runs and four RBIs to lead the Mavericks to state.

Matt Robertson, Owyhee: Went 4-for-6 with three doubles, three stolen bases and two RBIs in two games as the Storm swept their regional tournament to return to state.

Stephen Egan, Eagle: Led the Mustangs to a 3-1 win over Coeur d’Alene, tossing a complete game while holding the Vikings to one run on four hits while striking out four. He also went 2-for-4 with two RBIs in a 5-4 win over Rocky Mountain that clinched Eagle a state tournament berth.

Ayden Boyd, Bishop Kelly: Went 12-for-16 with four doubles, a triple, two home runs and 10 RBIs in four games. That includes a walk-off, three-run home run in a 9-7 win over Skyline.

Tyler Russell, Skyview: Went 3-for-6 with three RBIs in two games to lead the Hawks to a 5A state tournament berth.

Jayden Grosdidier, Fruitland: Threw a complete-game, two-hit shutout and struck out seven in a 2-0 win over Timberlake in Game 1 of the Grizzlies’ regional series.

Lukas Hall, Homedale: Threw five shutout innings and held Kimberly to three hits in a 10-0, six-inning win that sent the Trojans to state. He also went 3-for-5 with three RBIs in the two-game sweep.

Lucas Guray, Cole Valley Christian: Tossed a four-hit shutout and struck out six in a five-inning complete game that capped the Chargers sweep of South Fremont in a 4A regional series.

Cooper Brooks, Melba: Threw a five-inning, two-hit shutout with nine strikeouts in a 10-0 win over North Fremont. He also went 2-for-2 with a double, a home run, five RBIs and five walks drawn in two games to lead the Mustangs to a regional title and 3A state tournament berth.

Andrew Marron, North Star Charter: Went 5-for-8 with five RBIs as the Huskies swept Prairie in a 2A regional series.
