SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
McKenna Chavez, Capital: Went 3-for-6 with two home runs and four RBIs in three games.
Kira Anderson, Boise: Threw a five-inning, two-hit shutout and struck out six to lead the Brave to a 12-0 win over Timberline in the 6A District Three Tournament play-in round.
Justice Pruitt, Borah: Went 6-for-11 with a double, two home runs and five RBIs in three games.
Mariah Dresie, Meridian: Went 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBIs in a 13-3 win over Kuna in the 6A District Three Tournament play-in round.
Brooke Austin, Mountain View: Went 3-for-3 with a double, a home run and four RBIs in a 9-7 win over Capital.
Sophia Kassotis, Vallivue: Went 4-for-7 with a triple, two home runs and three RBIs in wins over Emmett and Caldwell.
Lauren Colson, Cole Valley Christian: Went 3-for-7 with a double, a pair of home runs, four RBIs and four stolen bases in three games.
Makenzie Pedrow, McCall-Donnelly: Belted a pair of home runs and drove in six RBIs against Payette, finishing the week 2-for-6.
Nalani VanTuyl, Parma: Went 3-for-8 with a double, two home runs and five RBIs in wins over Vision Charter and Marsing.
Kimber Jones, Horseshoe Bend: Went 7-for-10 with two triples, three home runs and 13 RBIs in three games.
