Idaho 5A baseball regional tournament: See the matchups, schedule

The IHSAA set the final seeds and matchups for the Idaho 5A baseball regional playoffs Sunday. Check out the full brackets below.

The regional round enters its second year in Idaho. Twelve teams in the 5A classification will face off in four separate three-team tournaments. The winner of each tournament advances to a four-team state tournament at Idaho Falls’ Melaleuca Field.

SEEDS FOR 5A REGIONAL TEAMS

The final MaxPreps.com rankings seeded all 12 teams and determined the four at-large qualifiers.

Winners of four of the five district tournaments will host the four regional tournaments. But hosting does not guarantee a first-round bye. Those byes are determined by MaxPreps rankings.

Below is the list of the overall seeds. These rankings will also be used to seed the state tournament.

  • 1. Bonneville (20-4) -- District 6 champ
  • 2. Sandpoint (20-2) -- District 1-2 champ
  • 3. Twin Falls (24-4) -- District 4 champ
  • 4. Skyview (18-3) -- District 3 champ
  • 5. Lewiston (18-8) -- At-large berth
  • 6. Bishop Kelly (18-5) -- District 3 runner-up
  • 7. Hillcrest (17-7-2) -- District 6 runner-up
  • 8. Burley (16-7) -- District 4 runner-up
  • 9. Blackfoot (10-10) -- At-large berth
  • 10. Skyline (12-13) -- At-large berth
  • 11. Idaho Falls (13-11-1) -- At-large berth
  • 16. Preston (13-9-1) -- District 5 champ
