Idaho 6A baseball regional tournament: See the matchups, schedule

The seeds and matchups for 6A regional baseball playoffs were set Sunday. See all the tournament brackets below.

The new road to the state tournament enters its second season in Idaho as 12 teams will compete in four separate three-team tournaments.

Teams must win their regional tournament to qualify for a four-team state tournament next week at Garden City’s Memorial Stadium.

SEEDS FOR 6A REGIONAL TEAMS

The final MaxPreps.com rankings seeded all 12 teams and determined the four at-large qualifiers.

Winners of each district tournament and the runner-up from the Boise region will host the four regional tournaments. But hosting does not guarantee a first-round bye. Those byes are determined by MaxPreps rankings.

Below is the list of the overall seeds. These rankings will also be used to seed the state tournament.

  • 1. Owyhee (22-5) -- District 3 champ
  • 2. Mountain View (19-7) -- At-large berth
  • 3. Eagle (18-6) -- District 3 runner-up
  • 4. Middleton (18-10) -- District 3 auto qualifier
  • 5. Centennial (16-11) -- District 3 auto qualifier
  • 6. Rocky Mountain (14-11) -- At-large berth
  • 7. Ridgevue (12-11) -- District 3 auto qualifier
  • 8. Rigby (15-11) -- At-large berth
  • 9. Highland (17-11) -- District 4-5-6 champ
  • 10. Post Falls (12-9) -- District 1 champ
  • 11. Coeur d’Alene (9-8) -- At-large berth
  • 15. Thunder Ridge (14-14-1) -- District 4-5-6 runner-up
