SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mya Penner, Mountain View: Went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a home run and three RBIs in two wins. She also tossed a complete game and held Rocky Mountain to one run on five hits while striking out five.
Olyvia Chalifoux, Borah: Went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a home run and four runs scored in a 15-6 win over Kuna.
Alexia Flygaire, Meridian: Went 6-for-11 with four home runs and nine RBIs in three games.
Makenzie Owens, Eagle: Went 10-for-15 with three doubles, a triple, a home run and four RBIs in six games.
Hailey Brennan, Owyhee: Struck out 20 and held opponents to one hit through eight scoreless innings. She also went 4-for-8 with a home run and three RBIs.
Sammy Miller, Middleton: Threw a five-inning one-hitter and struck out 12 in a 16-0 win over Columbia. She also went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and two RBIs in the game.
Lauren Colson, Cole Valley Christian: Cranked seven home runs in three games, finishing the week 11-for-12 with three doubles and 17 RBIs. She also threw six shutout innings, giving up two hits while striking out 21.
Natalya Hoobery, Weiser: Went 10-for-15 with a double, five home runs — including a grand slam — and 12 RBIs to lead the Wolverines to a 4-0 week.
Analyse Durham, Melba: Went 7-for-9 with four doubles, two home runs — including a grand slam — and eight RBIs in three games.
Cierra Norris, Notus: Went 9-for-15 with five doubles, seven RBIs and eight stolen bases in six games.
