BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Christian Zannitto, Owyhee: Threw six shutout innings for the victory in a 2-0 win over Rocky Mountain, scattering five hits while striking out 11.
KC Corley, Centennial: Belted a grand slam in an 18-1 win over Kuna, finishing the week 4-for-7 with eight RBIs in two wins.
Chris Maiocca, Mountain View: Went 5-for-10 with two doubles, a home run and 10 RBIs to lead the Mavericks to a 3-0 week.
Staton Aldrich, Middleton: Went 6-for-9 with three doubles and five RBIs in wins over Timberline, Boise and Borah.
Peyton Walters, Caldwell: Struck out six in three scoreless innings vs. McCall-Donnelly, and went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI in two games.
Isaac Farrel, Vallivue: Threw a complete-game shutout in a 5-0 win over Rocky Mountain, scattering four hits while striking out four. He also went 4-for-10 with a triple and three RBIs in three games.
Jaxon Phillips, Skyview: Went 6-for-12 with three doubles, a triple and 10 RBIs to lead the Hawks to a 3-0 week.
Chase Casagrande, Bishop Kelly: Went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and five RBIs in a 16-1 rout of Emmett.
Carson Fine, Homedale: Went 5-for-7 with a double, five RBIs and two stolen bases in a pair of wins over Parma.
Owen Baker, Fruitland: Threw 5 ⅓ scoreless innings in a 2-1 win over Cole Valley Christian, striking out seven while giving up four hits. He also went 2-for-9 with a double and six RBIs in three wins.
