Nominations are submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman.

GIRLS WRESTLER OF THE WEEK
Maritza Medina, Caldwell: Earned her first state championship with a pin at the 5:19 mark in the 100-pound title match at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa.
Corianna Parsons, Weiser: Pinned her opponent in 3:44 to win the state championship at 105 pounds. She finished with three pins and a decision.
Charlee Noah, Tri-Valley: Finished the season 43-0, winning three rounds by pin and the championship match at 125 pounds with a 4-0 decision.
Alivia Lombardo, Middleton: Won by major decision, pin and a tiebreaker before falling in the championship match at 105 pounds to earn a runner-up finish at state.
Maliyah Garcia, New Plymouth: Worked her way to the championship match at 110 pounds with two pins and a decision to earn a runner-up finish at state.
Talea Nichols, Rocky Mountain: Earned two pins and a decision on her way to a second-place finish in the 115-pound bracket at state.
Caddy Tverdy, Eagle: Helped the Mustangs win the team championship with a runner-up finish at 125 pounds. She pinned two opponents and won her semifinal with a major decision.
Emma Stansell, Kuna: Battled her way to second place at 140 pounds with a tech fall and two decisions in the state tournament at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa.

BOYS WRESTLER OF THE WEEK
Bodee Williams, Meridian: Rolled to a title in the 98-pound bracket at the 6A state tournament, contributing a team-high 29.5 points as the Warriors shattered the all-class state tournament scoring record with 338.5 points.
Jaxson Freeman, Caldwell: Captured his elusive first state championship, avenging a district finals loss to Meridian’s Justus Briggs with a 14-9 decision in the 6A 126-pound title bout.
Konnor Fordyce, Kuna: Brought home the school’s first boys state title in four years with a 19-3 tech fall in the 6A 150-pound title bout.
Anthony Butler, Eagle: Pinned three straight opponents before scoring a 15-0 tech fall for the 6A 175-pound state title.
Ryan Hirchert, Nampa: Cruised to his fourth straight state championship, pinning three of the four opponents he faced in the 5A 113-pound bracket.
Ryan Lewis, Middleton: Pinned three of the four opponents he faced for the 5A 175-pound crown, becoming the school’s first back-to-back state champ since 1990.
Jake Mescher, Bishop Kelly: Racked up four straight pins for the 5A 150-pound state championship, his second straight title.
Braelyn Arredondo, Homedale: Pinned his way to the 4A 132-pound state title. Only one match reached the second round.
Ty Cobb, Weiser: Captured his first state title with a 15-4 major decision in the finals of the 4A 157-pound bracket.
Bill Avery, Tri-Valley: Brought home Southwest Idaho’s only title in the 3A classification. He scored a pair of pins before finishing with 3-2 and 3-0 decisions for the 126-pound championship.
