Treasure Valley soccer players of the week (Sept. 22 to 28)

GIRLS SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Maya Atkinson, Timberline: Racked up three goals and three assists to lead the Wolves to road wins at Kuna and at Borah.

Emily Wendt, Rocky Mountain: Made 10 combined saves to post clean sheets against Bishop Kelly and Middleton.

Grace Hatch, Boise: Totaled six goals to lead the Brave to wins over Bishop Kelly, Owyhee and Ridgevue, vaulting from sixth to first place in the 6A SIC.

Sienna Holbrook, Mountain View: Tallied four assists and scored a goal to help lead the Mavericks to wins over Borah, Centennial and Vallivue.

Alexa Zierenberg, Owyhee: Recorded three goals and an assist as the Storm split matchups with Boise and Eagle.

Abby Linderman, Middleton: Scored three goals in a 7-0 win over Caldwell on senior night.

Jenna Seals, Vallivue: Racked up four goals and three assists to lead the Falcons to a 2-1-0 record, including a pair of conference wins.

Karli Roubidoux, Fruitland: Buried seven goals in three games to lead the Grizzlies to wins over Emmett, Homedale and Ontario, Oregon.

BOYS SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Nathan Compas, Parma: Totaled three goals and four assists as the Panthers lost 4-3 to McCall and beat Emmett 6-2.

Jordan “Bunga” Farini, Borah: Pulled up from JV for wins over Timberline and Mountain View, the freshman scored a goal in each victory.

Izaki Abongela, Kuna: Scored both goals in the Kavemen’s 2-0 win over Meridian and has accounted for six of the team’s seven goals this season while assisting on the other.

CJ Zambukos, Boise: Helped the Brave beat Ridgevue and Bishop Kelly in 6A SIC action with one goal in each game.

Nate Lynch, Meridian: Helped the Warriors take down Capital 5-0 with three goals and an assist in the 6A SIC victory.

Yanis Vendee, Owyhee: The Storm defeated Caldwell 3-1 and Eagle 3-1 as Vendee tallied three goals.

Alvaro Espinoza, Vallivue: The Falcons earned a pair of shutouts against Middleton and Columbia as their goalkeeper made 10 saves.

Jose Manuel, McCall-Donnelly: The Vandals remained atop the 4A SRV standings with wins over Parma and Weiser as Manuel contributed two goals and four assists.
