Nominations are submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman.
GIRLS SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Rebecca Gabriele, Eagle: Racked up five goals in 9-0 wins over Capital and Ridgevue.
Samantha Jones, Mountain View: Totaled five goals and three assists to lead the Mavericks to a 2-0-1 record for the week.
Elle Frazier, Boise: Scored a goal in both a tie against Mountain View (1-1) and a win over Borah (4-1).
Alexa Zierenberg, Owyhee: Finished the week with a combined three goals and one assist in wins over Borah and Kuna.
Gretchen Baker, Kuna: Recorded a hat trick in a 6-1 win over Centennial and ended the week with four goals and an assist.
Amanda Soto, Vallivue: Tallied a pair of goals and three assists to lead the Falcons to wins over Columbia (8-0) and Mountain Home (4-0).
Kate Jacques, Bishop Kelly: Finished the week with two goals and three assists as the Knights recorded wins over Ridgevue, Highland and Pocatello.
Payson Bratcher, Fruitland: Made 13 saves to post back-to-back shutouts against La Grande, Oregon, and Parma. She also scored a goal and added an assist in a 12-0 win vs. Parma.
BOYS SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Patrick Kane, Timberline: Totaled three goals and two assists in 6A Southern Idaho Conference games against Capital and Rocky Mountain.
Evan Silva, Mountain View: Scored the game’s only goal in a 1-0 win over Boise in 6A Southern Idaho Conference action.
Josue Kuzindila, Owyhee: Helped the Storm remain in second place in the 6A Southern Idaho Conference, scoring two goals in wins over Borah and Kuna.
Elijah Grimaldo, Vallivue: Racked up six goals and two assists as the Falcons defeated Columbia, Nampa and Mountain Home.
Nathan Compas, Parma: Helped the Vandals defeat Payette and Fruitland by contributing eight goals and one assist.
Eli Arndt, McCall-Donnelly: The Vandals remained No. 1 in the 4A Snake River Valley standings as Arndt totaled three goals and one assist in games against Emmett, Ambrose and Fruitland.
Keller King, Payette: Scored two goals and added an assist in a 3-3 tie with Four Rivers and then had a goal and an assist against Weiser.
Kevin Rosas, Nampa: Racked up three goals in 5A Southern Idaho Conference play against Middleton and Vallivue.
