VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Lauren Nelson, Notus: The Pirates played three matches, with Nelson playing the entirety of all three. She served 36 times with seven aces for an accuracy rating of 94 percent. She added 23 assists, 20 points and 12 digs.
Lillian Conn, Compass Charter: The sophomore outside hitter totaled 22 kills, nine digs and six aces with a serve-receive percentage of 93.3 percent and a reception percentage of 85.2 percent in matches against Notus and Vision Charter.
Reese Meier, Owyhee: The junior rightside hitter set a school record for a three-set match with 25 kills while adding 13 digs, seven blocks and four aces in a 25-19, 25-16, 28-26 victory over Boise.
Gena Fink, Borah: The senior outside hitter helped the Lions edge Kuna in five sets and fell 3-1 to Meridian. Fink totaled 30 kills, 15 digs, seven blocks and five aces in the two matches.
Elayna Jolly, Capital: The junior setter helped the Eagles earn a split on the week, defeating Vallivue and falling to Centennial. Jolly racked up 42 assists, 11 aces, nine digs and two kills.
McKenna Satterfield, Timberline: The Wolves opened the season with a 25-18, 25-21, 25-12 sweep of Ridgevue as Satterfield dished out 34 assists with nine digs, three kills and one block.
Kennedy Harris, Centennial: The Patriots swept Capital 25-17, 25-19, 25-17 as their junior middle contributed seven kills, five service aces, three blocks, four digs and one assist.
Avery Reece, Nampa Christian: The Trojans outlasted Weiser 25-21, 25-22, 22-25, 29-27 as Reece pounded out a team-best 20 kills with three aces and two blocks.
Natalie Escutia, Wilder: The senior had a well-rounded match in a 25-14, 18-25, 25-12, 25-14 victory over Treasure Valley Classical Academy, totaling 13 service aces, 13 digs, 10 kills, two blocks and two assists.
Eva Pinney, Ambrose: In a 25-16, 25-12, 25-17 victory over Emmett, Pinney had a hitting percentage of .620, notching kills on 11 of 16 attempts. She also served 84.6 percent on 11 serves.
