BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Cam Lenius, Middleton: Went 7-for-10 and stole four bases to help lead the Vikings to the 6A state title.

Gage Haws, Owyhee: Went 5-for-12 with two doubles as the Storm rallied back from a first-round loss to finish second at the 6A state tournament.

Davey Green, Mountain View: Led the Mavericks to a first-round upset of Owyhee, holding the Storm on one run (zero earned) on four hits while striking out three in 6 ⅔ innings.

Cooper Crutcher, Vallivue: Threw a complete game in a 5-2 victory over Skyview as the Falcons brought home a third-place trophy from the 5A state tournament, their best state finish since 2002. He held the Hawks to two runs (one earned) on three hits.

Ledger Downs, Skyview: Went 2-for-4 with a stolen base as the Hawks finished fourth at the 5A state tournament.

Quinn Hood, Fruitland: Went 5-for-12 with two doubles and six RBIs as the Grizzlies took second place at the 4A state tournament.

Eli Hamby, Cole Valley: Went 5-for-8 with an RBI and a stolen base as the Chargers brought home the fourth-place trophy from the 4A state tournament.

Kaden Mullins, Nampa Christian: Led the Trojans to a second-place trophy at the 3A state tournament as a two-way threat. He pitched 9 ⅓ innings, giving up one run on four hits while striking out 14. He also went 7-for-13 with a double, a triple, four RBIs and five stolen bases.

Luke Steinmeyer, Marsing: Went 5-for-7 with two doubles, a triple and seven RBIs to lead the Huskies to the third-place trophy at the 3A state tournament.
