GIRLS TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Kennedy Fitch, Fruitland: Set personal bests in the 100 hurdles (16.67), 300 hurdles (47.93) and long jump (16-1.25) and ran a leg on the Grizzlies’ winning medley relay (1:55.27) at the 19-team Middleton Invite.

Josie Davis, Owyhee: Became the first triple jumper to surpass 38 feet this season, recording a personal-best and state-leading mark of 38-2 to win a tri-meet with Meridian and Rocky Mountain.

Bree Cardon, Mountain View: Won three events in a quad-meet with Borah, Ridgevue and Caldwell. Her long jump (17-8) ranks No. 2 in the state and her triple jump (37-0) ranks No. 4. She also ran a leg on the Mavericks’ winning 4x200 relay (1:42.99).

Eden Francis, Capital: Threw a personal-best 120-1 in the javelin — a distance that ranks No. 3 in the state — and finished second in the 100 hurdles (15.62) and high jump (4-10) at the Boise Invite.

Paisley Taylor, Meridian: Clocked a season-best time in the 1,600 meters, winning the event in 4:56.19 at a tri-meet with Owyhee and Rocky Mountain. The time ranks No. 2 in the state.

Claire Matthews, Weiser: Swept the 800 (2:22.73) and 1,600 (5:38.15), added a runner-up finish in the 3,200 (11:59.22) and ran a leg on the Wolverines’ third-place 4x400 relay (4:31.72) at the 19-team Middleton Invite.

Olyvia Denison, Payette: Established a personal-best mark in winning the long jump (17-4) and added a victory in the triple jump (35-5.5) at the 19-team Middleton Invite.

Avery Reece, Nampa Christian: Won the 100 meters (12.65) at the eight-team Boise Invite, added a runner-up finish in the 200 in a personal-best 25.45 and placed fourth in the 100 hurdles (15.95).

Kaitlyn McGee, Ridgevue: Swept the 100 hurdles (17.22) and 300 hurdles (49.81) at a quad-meet with Borah, Mountain View and Caldwell. Both times were personal bests. She also placed second in the high jump (5-0).

Isla Anderson, Skyview: Finished first in three events in a tri-meet with Emmett and Vallivue, claiming the 100 (12.75) and 200 (26.23) and running a leg on the Hawks’ winning 4x400 relay (4:22.69).

BOYS TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Logan Andersen, Middleton: Placed second in the high jump (6-0) and posted personal bests in the long jump (20-10) and 200 meters (23.14) at the 19-team Middleton Invite.

Paul Anderson, Rocky Mountain: Cleared 15-6 in the pole vault to win a tri-meet with Meridian and Owyhee. The height is a personal best and ranks No. 1 in the state this season.

Blake Johns, Meridian: Threw a personal-best 169-2 to win the discus at the Ada County Thrower Extravaganza. The mark ranks No. 2 in the state this season.

Eli Rich, Boise: Posted the fastest 200-meter time in the state this season, clocking a 21.77 to win the event at a meet with Borah, Mountain View, Ridgevue and Caldwell.

Zane Hearne, Tri-Valley: Won the discus at the 19-team Middleton Invite with a distance of 164-9. It is the No. 4 mark in the state and a personal best.

Camus Book, Caldwell: Swept the 1,600 (4:38.53) and 3,200 (10:10.63) at a quad-meet with Borah, Mountain View and Ridgevue.

Joseph Miraya, Mountain View: Won the shot put in a personal-best 62-8 and the discus with a throw of 170-10. He is the top thrower in the state this season in both events.

Carson Hacking, Victory Charter: Ran to victory in the 800 (2:03.29) and 1,600 (4:43.06) at an eight-team meet at Skyview.

Isaac Moore, Vallivue: Placed first in the high jump (5-8) and shot put (45-10) and added a runner-up showing in the discus (127-7) at an eight-team meet at Skyview.

Tyson Winkelman, Columbia: Swept the 100 hurdles (16.06) and 300 hurdles (41.82) at the eight-team Boise Invite. His 300 time was a personal best.
