SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Olivia Stone, Capital: In five games last week, Stone batted .667 with an on-base percentage of .737 with 10 hits, including three doubles and a home run, plus 13 RBIs. She also played catcher in four of the five games.
Cali Moorhouse, Centennial: In four wins last week, she batted .700 in 16 plate appearances with a slugging percentage of 1.000. She totaled four RBIs, three stolen bases and no strikeouts while compiling a 1.000 fielding percentage with eight putouts.
Grace Brooks, Owyhee: The Storm remained undefeated as Brooks went 10-for-18 at the plate with 12 RBIs, six runs scored and four home runs. In the circle, she pitched 12 innings, allowing just three hits and two earned runs while striking out 22 and earning three wins.
Kayla Campbell, Borah: In four games, Campbell batted .545 with eight RBIs, three walks, three doubles and two home runs, including a walk-off bomb in a 7-5 win over Parma.
Makiah Weideman, New Plymouth: In a 6-5 victory over Fruitland, Weideman hit the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning and finished 2-for-4 at the plate.
Maddie Clark, Meridian: In a 14-6 victory over Moscow, Clark racked up a double, triple, home run and six RBIs. She is batting .667 this season with an on-base percentage of .783.
Kamryn Newbery, Boise: She went 3-for-4 at the plate in an 18-8 win over Moscow, hitting a double, triple and home run with five RBIs.
Libby Garcia, Middleton: The Vikings stayed unbeaten as Garcia pitched 15 innings in three games, earning two wins. She gave up just one earned run and four hits while striking out 39 with just three walks.
Danica Quinn, Rocky Mountain: In four games last week, Quinn went 6-for-10 at the plate with two doubles, four home runs and eight RBIs. She also earned a win in the circle, going five innings while allowing four hits and no runs with four strikeouts and no walks.
Ysabela Pereira, Timberline: Helped the Wolves to a 3-1 week, going 7-for-11 at the plate with a double, triple, home run and five RBIs. She also earned a win in the circle, pitching three innings while allowing three hits and one earned run and striking out two.
Rylee Mangum, Kuna: Playing in six games last week, Mangum went 8-for-12 at the plate with eight RBIs, one double and one home run. She also pitched two shutouts, allowing just two hits with 27 strikeouts and three walks over 12 innings.
Ellie Shirts, Weiser: The Wolverines won three of four games last week as their leadoff batter went 10-for-13 at the plate with a triple and seven RBIs.
