4A All-Idaho girls soccer team: The biggest talents from the state’s smallest schools

Note: The All-Idaho teams are chosen by each classification’s coaches. The Idaho Statesman hosts the voting process and publishes the results.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Kamryn Teichert

Sugar-Salem, jr., F

Opponents knew exactly which player to mark. But knowing whom to mark and stopping them are two different things. The 5-9 winger racked up an all-class leading 58 goals this fall to lead the Diggers to another state title. She also added 17 assists and spent some time at center back, too.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Scott Terry

Sugar-Salem

He pulls double duty as the Diggers’ boys and girls coach, leading the girls to back-to-back state titles.

FIRST TEAM

Aliana Cruces

American Falls, jr., F

The 5-foot-3 center forward set a prolific pace for the Beavers, netting 41 goals in 25 games.

Andee Petterson

Sugar-Salem, so., F

The repeat first-team pick was equally dangerous finishing (32 goals) and setting up others (28 assists).

Jelly Oseguera

American Falls, sr., F

Opponents often overlooked the 5-4 senior. She made them regret it, posting 14 goals and six assists.

Baylee Rawlinson

Fruitland, sr., M

A natural striker, she stepped back into a midfield role and still finished with 34 goals and 12 assists.

Lucy Simpson

Timberlake, sr., M

The four-year starter capped her career with another prolific season with 35 goals and 18 assists.

Liesl Kimball

Buhl, sr., M

The glue that held the state runner-up together, the two-way threat posted 18 goals and 15 assists.

Isabelle Tuttle

Sugar-Salem, sr., D

The three-time all-state pick anchored a defense that only gave up 10 goals and scored 19 of her own.

Ava Rydalch

Sugar-Salem, sr., D

The center back paired with Tuttle to form a wall. She also set a program record with 55 career assists.

Lydia Lehosit

Coeur d’Alene Charter, sr., D

The 5-10 center back served as a coach on the field, motivated teammates and scored seven goals.

Nicole Nunes

Buhl, sr., D

The center back played all season with a torn ACL, marking and shutting down opponents’ top scoring options.

Nika Nead

Sugar-Salem, sr., GK

She only allowed seven goals in 20 games for the state champs, earning back-to-back first-team honors.
