VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Isela Contreras, Cascade: In an 18-25, 25-17, 17-25, 25-15, 15-11 victory over Highland (Craigmont), the Ramblers’ sophomore libero had eight digs and a passing average of .565.

Lacey Dougherty, Columbia: The Wildcats swept Nampa and lost in five sets to Middleton as Dougherty totaled 30 digs, 21 kills and four aces.

Lainee Raymond, Rimrock: The sophomore defensive specialist racked up 77 digs in three matches, including a school-record 41 in a four-set loss to Victory Charter. She also set the school record for digs per set at 16. Both previous records were from 1990.

Nola Bondarczuk, Middleton: The Vikings defeated Columbia and Bishop Kelly, with Bondarczuk contributing 26 kills, five blocks and multiple assists.

Eliana Ti’a, Centennial: The Patriots swept Boise and Timberline in 6A SIC play, with Ti’a amassing 31 kills, 18 digs and five blocks.

Makaiya Gerhardt, Owyhee: The Storm remained unbeaten in 6A SIC action with sweeps of Mountain View and Rocky Mountain as Gerhardt collected 22 kills, 12 digs, four aces and three blocks.

Sophie Tanner, Rocky Mountain: Tanner totaled 14 digs and passed a 2.1 in the Grizzlies’ four-set loss to Eagle last week in 6A SIC play.

Lexi Douthit, Nampa Christian: The Trojans won two 3A WIC matches last week, with Douthit dishing out 38 assists in a four-set victory over Parma.

Tiffini Goss, Parma: The Panthers rallied against New Plymouth for a 20-25, 25-20, 17-25, 25-17, 15-12 victory, with Goss contributing 24 digs, 11 kills, 10 assists, two blocks and two aces.

Aveyah Flores, Liberty Charter: In wins over North Star Charter and Rimrock, Flores combined for 23 kills, eight blocks and six aces.
