VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Taylor Wirtz, Columbia: In sweeps of Caldwell and Vallivue, Wirtz combined for 42 assists, 10 digs, four aces and one kill.
Daelyn Harris, Centennial: The Patriots went undefeated at the Rocky Mountain Invitational with wins over Thunder Ridge, Rocky Mountain, Bonneville, Lakeland and Lake City as Harris totaled 35 kills, 18 blocks and 14 aces.
Reese Meier, Owyhee: The Storm won the Gold Bracket in the Premier Division at the Tournament of Champions in Phoenix, with Meier contributing 59 kills, 53 digs, 14 aces and 13 blocks.
Jaelle Stafford, Capital: The Eagles defeated Meridian and Ridgevue, with Stafford collecting 17 kills without an error, including nine kills and five blocks against Ridgevue.
Kayla Boring, Cascade: In a four-set loss to Tri-Valley, Boring paced the Ramblers with seven digs, five aces and four kills.
Aveyah Flores, Liberty Charter: In matches against Notus and Victory Charter, Flores contributed 14 service aces, nine kills and eight digs.
Bellamie Beus, Skyview: The junior outside hitter totaled 28 kills, 16 digs, three blocks and three assists as the Hawks swept Rocky Mountain and Boise.
Natalie Escutia, Wilder: The Wildcats remained atop the 2A WIC standings with wins over Treasure Valley Classical Academy and North Star Charter as Escutia tallied 23 kills, 26 digs, three aces and three blocks.
Avery Hopkins, Bishop Kelly: The Knights swept Vallivue and Nampa, with Hopkins totaling 23 kills, five digs, two blocks, two aces and one assist.
Lily Meservier, Timberline: The Wolves went unbeaten in seven matches last week, including 6A SIC wins over Kuna and Borah in which Meservier led the team in kills with 20.
