VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Brooke Hardy, Fruitland: The Grizzlies downed Cole Valley Christian 23-25, 25-15, 29-27, 25-20 as the junior outside hitter totaled 32 kills, 39 digs and eight aces.
Genevieve Fink, Borah: In the Lions’ 15-25, 27-25, 25-22, 28-26 victory over Ridgevue, Fink had 17 kills, six digs, two aces, one block and a .500 hitting percentage.
Camila Salinas, Columbia: The Wildcats went 2-1 on the week as Salinas contributed 36 kills, 26 digs, four aces and two blocks.
Mary Irwin, Owyhee: The Storm swept Capital 25-11, 25-10, 25-14 as Irwin totaled five digs, four aces, three kills and two blocks.
Claire Pierce, Cascade: Coach Alison Haupt said Pierce’s “stellar” defense was key in a tough loss to Horseshoe Bend. Pierce had seven kills, seven digs and a 78% serving percentage.
Maija Howse, Eagle: Eagle earned its first win of the season, 25-13, 25-9, 25-15 over Kuna, as Howse had a well-rounded match with seven kills, four digs, one block and two aces.
Eliana Ti’a, Centennial: The Patriots stayed unbeaten after a 25-16, 25-15, 25-15 sweep of Meridian in which Ti’a had 12 kills, five aces and six digs.
Bellamie Beus, Skyview: The Hawks swept Timberline 25-10, 25-17, 25-21 as Beus racked up 16 kills, 11 digs, two aces and two blocks.
Kailey Reeves, Nampa Christian: The Trojans swept Nyssa (OR) 25-6, 25-7, 25-10 as Reeves collected nine kills and four aces with an attack percentage of .421.
Steffini Goss, Parma: The Panthers outlasted Filer 26-24, 25-20, 14-25, 27-25 with Goss leading the way with 15 kills, two aces, 14 digs and four assists.
