GIRLS SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Addie McCallister, Middleton: Scored two goals and assisted two more in a 5-0 win over Wood River.

Campbell Wilson, Rocky Mountain: Buried three goals and added an assist to lead the Grizzlies to wins over Kuna (6-0) and Vallivue (4-1).

Belle Wright, Centennial: Netted a hat trick in a 5-1 win at Meridian, and added a goal and an assist in a 3-0 victory at Capital to open conference play.

Grace Bryns, Borah: Posted a pair of shutout victories, making three stops in a 3-0 win vs. Meridian and nine stops in a 2-0 win at Ridgevue.

Brooke Hutchinson, Bishop Kelly: Made three saves in a scoreless draw vs. Mountain View, then stopped eight more shots in a 1-0 win vs. Timberline for two shutouts.

Lola Simpson, Timberline: Scored twice and assisted another goal in a 6-0 victory over Kuna.

Karli Roubidoux, Fruitland: Scored four goals in a 5-0 conference victory at Homedale, and had two goals and two assists in an 11-1 rout of Emmett.

Karlie Kildow, Homedale: Netted four goals in a 6-0 win at Payette to start the Trojans’ SRV conference schedule.

BOYS SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Izaki Abongel, Kuna: Abongel scored both goals in the Kavemen’s 2-0 victory over Nampa and added another goal in a 3-2 loss to Rocky Mountain.

Carter Rojas, Borah: Rojas dished out three assists to help the Lions defeat Meridian 5-2 to open the 2024 season.

Ethan Blanes, Middleton: The Vikings suffered a 6-5 setback against Jerome, but Blanes was on point with three goals in the game.

Jordan Sanchez, Payette: The Pirates dominated in their first two games of the season, defeating Ambrose 9-1 and Nyssa (OR) 14-4 as Sanchez totaled 11 goals and three assists.

Gerard Alimasi, Mountain View: The Mavericks earned their first win of the season with a 4-0 shutout of Caldwell as Alimasi scored two goals.

Baraka Dayi, Boise: The Brave earned a 4-1 victory over Owyhee with the help of two assists from Dayi.

Justin McGrew, Bishop Kelly: The Knights picked up a 1-1 tie with Mountain View as McGrew stopped 12 shots in goal.

Bogdan Monahan, McCall-Donnelly: Monahan scored the only goal in the Vandals’ 1-0, season-opening victory over Weiser.
