Help us choose the best of the best in the latest Idaho Statesman boys basketball player of the week contest.

Polls close at noon Wednesday. Read about all the candidates and their accomplishments below.

You can vote multiple times. This is meant to be a fun way to show support for athletes. This is not meant to be scientific.

Nominations are submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Cody Luce, Victory Charter: Scored a program-record 44 points in a 91-27 win at Centennial Baptist.

Boden Howell, Owyhee: Posted 14 points, three rebounds and three assists in a 63-52 win at Middleton, then added 14 points and two assists in an 84-35 win vs. Mountain View.

Jace Martinez, Vallivue: Racked up 28 points, seven rebounds and six assists while committing zero turnovers in a 68-64, overtime win against Columbia.

Owen Kane, Bishop Kelly: Averaged 15 points, five steals and 2.5 assists while shooting 67% behind the 3-point line to lead the Knights to wins over Emmett and Burley.

Luke Soltau, Boise: Averaged 14 points and five assists to lead Boise to wins over Eagle and Kuna.

Luke Thomas, Liberty Charter: Averaged 20 points, five rebounds and 4.5 assists in the Patriots’ victories over Notus and Murtaugh.

Eli Kingery, Cole Valley Christian: Scored a game-high 25 points in a 74-58 win over Melba in a battle atop the 2A WIC standings.

TJ Sanor, Meridian: Sank 5-of-6 field goals to score 12 points and lead the Warriors to a 55-42 win at previously undefeated Timberline.

Braden Sherrill, Mountain View: Had 18 points and seven rebounds in a 46-43 win against Nampa.

Gabriel Eddins, Centennial: Averaged 19 points, 4.5 rebounds, two assists and three steals in wins over Borah and Mountain Home.
