Treasure Valley volleyball player of the week (Aug. 21 to 27)

You can vote multiple times. This is meant to be a fun way to show support for athletes. This is not meant to be scientific.

Nominations are submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman.

VOLLEYBALL

Teagan Scott, Eagle: Racked up four kills, four blocks and 27 assists with a .508 hitting percentage in a sweep of Borah.

Reese Meier, Owyhee: Finished with 26 kills, nine digs and four blocks as the Storm topped both Emmett and Post Falls in a tri-match.

Danica Lockett, Weiser: Had nine aces, 39 digs and 77 assists (4.05 per set) between a match against Cole Valley Christian and the Peg Peterson Tournament.

Tamar Callender, Caldwell: Tallied 60 assists and 11 aces to lead the Cougars to a 3-1 record and a second-place finish at the New Plymouth Tournament.

Judith Burke, Bishop Kelly: Racked up 43 kills, 33 digs and five blocks in losses to Middleton and Boise, two 5A programs.

Shilah Arnold, McCall-Donnelly: Led the Vandals to the New Plymouth Tournament title without dropping a set with 28 kills and 21 digs.

Sydney Short, Middleton: Had eight aces, 12 digs and 26 assists in four-set victory over Bishop Kelly.

Alyssa Gregory, Nampa Christian: Posted a double-double of 12 kills and 15 digs in a four-set win against Vale, Oregon.
