Help us choose the best of the best in the latest Idaho Statesman boys and girls track and field athlete of the week contests.

Polls close at noon Wednesday. Read about all the candidates and their accomplishments below.

You can vote multiple times. This is meant to be a fun way to show support for athletes. It is not meant to be scientific.

Nominations are submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman.

BOYS TRACK & FIELD

Ian Stocket, Victory Charter: Broke his own school record by 17 seconds to win the 3,200 in 9 minutes, 19.5 seconds at the Ridgevue Invite. That time leads all classifications in Idaho this season. He also ran a 1A-leading 800 time of 2:03.56 and a leg of the 1A-leading medley relay (3:53.60).

Grayson Benitez, Notus: Set a new school record in the 100 (11.16) and won the 200 (23.14) at New Plymouth’s Not Quite April Fools meet.

Andrew Ringert, Eagle: Turned in the fastest 3,200 (9:35.75) at the 5A level and also won the 1,600 (4:29.02) at the Mountain View Quad.

Tyler Sainsbury, Rocky Mountain: Recorded the state’s fastest 1,600 (4:10.79) in a tri-meet.

McKoy Richardson, Melba: Ran the fastest 300 hurdles across all classification’s this season (39.37) and won three other events at a home tri-meet.

Seth Nelson, Boise: Cleared 15 feet, 6 inches in the pole vault in a tri-meet, the best mark in Idaho by 16 inches so far this season.

Victor Byaundaombe, Capital: Took the overall state lead in the triple jump with a mark of 45-11.75.

Augustus Haynes, Ridgevue: Became the 4A leader in the 300 hurdles by winning the Ridgevue Invite at 39.58. He also ranks second in 4A in the 100 hurdles (15.11).

Cole Miller, Bishop Kelly: Ranks as the 4A leader in the triple jump after a mark of 45-5.5 to win the Ridgevue Invite.

Samuel Fish, Vallivue: Set another personal record and became the 4A leader in the 3,200 (9:21.11) at the Ridgevue Invite.

GIRLS TRACK & FIELD

Paiton Mills, Nampa Christian: Swept the 100, 200 and 400 and a tri-meet in Melba. Her times in the 100 (12.70) and 200 (26.11) are the best in 2A this season.

Asia Lawyer, Centennial: Ran the fastest 100 across all classifications to win a tri-meet in 12.42 seconds.

Ciara Brown, Rocky Mountain: Set a new personal record and took over the 5A lead in the 200 (25.67) in a tri-meet. She also ran a leg of the all-class leading 4x200 relay (1:44.79).

Maddie Romberg, Borah: Set new personal bests in the shot put (37-8.5) and discus (128-8). She ranks second overall statewide in the discus and fifth in the shot put.

Autumn Shomaker, Boise: Unleashed a personal-best long jump of 17-10.5, which ranks first in 5A and second statewide.

Audrey Chitwood, Mountain View: Won the 1,600 in 5:13.86 at her home quad, a personal best and third fastest time in Idaho this spring.

Taliah Rogers, Victory Charter: Ran the fastest 800 time among all 1A athletes (2:28.87) to finish second at the Ridgevue Invite.

Rozzlyn Cazier, Melba: Turned in 2A’s second-best 800 (2:35.55) and 1,600 (5:45.30), and ran a leg of 2A’s best 4x400 (4:25.03), at her home tri-meet.

Kaylee Wuest, Ridgevue: Recorded 4A’s best discus throw (115-3) to win the Ridgevue Invite. She also won the shot put with a personal best of 33-10.
