You can vote multiple times. This is meant to be a fun way to show support for athletes. This is not meant to be scientific.

Nominations are submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman.

FOOTBALL

Valentin Gomez-Ricks, Mountain View: The freshman ran for 168 yards and the game-winning score with 28 seconds left in a 30-24 win against Highland in the 5A quarterfinals.

Art Williams, Rocky Mountain: Ran for 137 yards and a touchdown in a 22-0 win at Post Falls in the 5A quarterfinals.

Luke St. Michell, Meridian: Ran for 44 yards and two touchdowns in an 18-6 victory over Middleton in the 5A quarterfinals.

Peter Minnaert, Bishop Kelly: Ran for 252 yards and three TDs in a 28-7 win vs. Pocatello in the 4A quarterfinals.

Andrew Enders, Weiser: Racked up 209 total yards and three TDs in a 35-25 win vs. Bonners Ferry in the 3A quarterfinals. He was 5-for-9 for 141 yards and two TDs, and he ran for 68 yards and a TD.

Trenton Fisher, Homedale: Returned an interception for a touchdown and ran for 110 yards and a score in a 42-13 win over South Fremont in the 3A quarterfinals.
