Polls close at noon Wednesday. Read about all the candidates and their accomplishments below.

You can vote multiple times. This is not scientific and is meant to be fun.

Nominations are submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Lauren McCall, Timberline: Her last-second steal and 3-pointer capped a comeback that led Timberline to a 36-35 win over Boise in the 5A state championship. It’s Timberline’s first state title since 2003.

Ava Oakland, Boise: Led the Brave to a runner-up finish at the 5A state tournament with her lockdown defense. She held Timberline’s Audrey Taylor to two points in the finals and Lake City’s Kendall Pickford to seven points in the semifinals.

Lyndsie Krogh, Cole Valley Christian: Recorded a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Chargers to a 58-45 win over Aberdeen in the 2A state championship. She averaged 13.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists at the tournament.

Abbi Roubidoux, Fruitland: Racked up 37 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and six steals in a 72-63 win over Kellogg, the Grizzlies’ first state tournament win since 2015. She finished the tournament averaging 21 points per game.

Payton Hymas, Middleton: Averaged 12.7 points, two assists and 2.3 steals to lead the Vikings to the 4A state consolation trophy.

Tobie Noyer, Weiser: Averaged 11 points, 10.7 rebounds, three assists and 3.3 steals to lead the Wolverines to the 3A state consolation title, their first trophy since 2010.

Sydney Nichols, Council: Led the Lumberjacks to a second-place finish in 1A Division II, tied for the best in program history, by averaging 11.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.3 steals.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Jackson Rasmussen, Owyhee: The freshman posted a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds in a first-round win at the 5A District Three Tournament.

Dallin Criddle, Liberty Charter: Poured in 27 points on 12-for-18 shooting and added five steals in a 61-27 win over North Star Charter in the first round at the 1A Division I District Three Tournament.

Jacob Martinez, Vallivue: Surpassed 1,000 career points with 19 points in a 52-33 win over Ridgevue in the first round of the 4A District Three Tournament.

Jaxon Dines, Homedale: Had 22 points, four steals and two blocks in a 52-43 win over Fruitland that clinched the Trojans a 3A state tournament berth.

Zaylor Bruegeman, Caldwell: Scored 24 points to lead the Cougars to a 58-42 upset of Nampa in the first round of the 4A District Three Tournament.

Blake Hawthorne, Bishop Kelly: Recorded a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds in the Knights 63-23 win vs. Columbia in the first round of the 4A District Three Tournament.

Joe Reiber, Melba: Racked up 20 points, 11 rebounds and two steals in a 41-34 win over Cole Valley Christian to clinch the Mustangs a state tournament berth and a spot in the 2A District Three Tournament finals.

Ethan Pearce, Meridian: Had 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Warriors to a 45-40 win over Timberline in the the first round of the 5A District Three Tournament.

Tyson Hughes, Ambrose: Scored 24 points in a 67-57 win over Nampa Christian that sent the Archers to the 2A state tournament and the district finals.

Tyler Medaris, Middleton: Had a triple-double of 10 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists in a 61-47 win over Emmett to close out the regular season.

GIRLS WRESTLING

Liv Wieber, Eagle: Cruised to the 132-pound District Three title with four pins, none taking longer than 35 seconds, to lead the Mustangs to the team trophy.

Ornella Kero, Boise: Won the 160-pound title at the District Three Tournament with a 4-3 decision, upsetting the No. 1 seed with a last-second reversal.

Dahlia Yerby, Emmett: Pinned all four opponents to win the 106-pound title at the District Three Tournament.

Sophie Sarver, Mountain View: Pinned the No. 1 seed in 2:48 for the 120-pound title at the District Three Tournament.

Jordan Barrett, Payette: Was the only District Three champ outside of the 5A and 4A classifications. She brought home the 126-pound title with a 14-5 major decision in the finals.

Marissa Jimenez, Caldwell: Scored a 16-10 decision over Rocky Mountain’s Mia Furman for the 138-pound title at the District Three Tournament in the day’s most anticipated matchup.

BOYS WRESTLING

Josh Mendoza, Timberline: Won his fourth straight 5A District Three Tournament title with a 6-2 decision over Meridian’s Matthew Papa in the 120-pound finals.

Tanner Frothinger, Eagle: Pinned his way to the 126-pound finals at the 5A District Three Tournament before scoring a 7-6 decision for his third straight district title.

Luke Jensen, Rocky Mountain: Rolled to the 132-pound title at the 5A District Three Tournament with four straight pins, then an 11-0 major decision in the finals.

Cade White, Meridian: Won his third straight district title by edging Rocky Mountain’s Tyler Jones 3-1 for the 145-pound title at the 5A District Three Tournament.

Cael Palmer, Kuna: Repeated as the 160-pound champ at the 5A District Three Tournament with a 10-2 decision over Centennial’s Joe Watson in the finals.

Aden Attao, Borah: Rolled the 5A District Three heavyweight title with four straight pins. No match reached the third round.

Dedrick Navarro, Nampa: Won his third straight 4A District Three Tournament title, pinning his way to the 106-pound finals before a 21-7 major decision.

Christopher Martino, Bishop Kelly: Racked up his fourth straight 4A District Three championship. He used four three straight first-round pins before winning the 132-pound finals on an injury default.

Hunter Bidelman, Caldwell: Won his second 4A District Three Tournament title with a 13-0 major decision in the 138-pound finals.

Nico Rodriguez, Columbia: Earned his fourth straight district title by pinning his way to the 4A heavyweight finals before scoring a 3-1 decision.

Kash Cobb, Weiser: Two pins and an 8-4 upset of the top seed earned the freshman the 3A 132-pound district title and helped the Wolverines finish first as a team.

Matthew Daniels, McCall-Donnelly: The sophomore won his second straight 3A District Three title. He didn’t surrender a single point in the 138-pound division, scoring three pins and a 7-0 decision in the finals.

Kyle Rice, New Plymouth: Brought home his fourth straight 2A District Three Tournament title with two pins in 41 and 42 seconds in the 138-pound bracket.
