Winners of the Treasure Valley athlete of the week contests (Jan. 24 to 30)

Voting has closed in the latest Treasure Valley Athletes of the Week contest.

Here are the winners. You can read about all the candidates and their accomplishments below.

  • Girls basketball: Ashten Moore, Rimrock
  • Boys basketball: Jude Porter, Boise
  • Girls wrestling: Dahlia Yerby, Emmett
  • Boys wrestling: Cade White, Meridian

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Ashten Moore, Rimrock: Averaged 9.7 points and 12 rebounds in three games last week, leading the Raiders to a 2-1 record.

Sydnie Rodriguez, Borah: Averaged 15 points, eight rebounds and 2.5 steals to lead the Lions to three wins in four days.

Aly Cox, Timberline: Recorded a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds as the Wolves wrapped up a perfect record in the 5A SIC with a 50-35 win at Meridian.

Demi Thompson, Mountain View: Poured in 25 points and added four rebounds as the Mavericks topped Centennial 51-44.

Avery Howell, Boise: Racked up 19 points, 12 rebounds and three steals in a 54-40 victory at Skyview. She also had a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds in a loss at Timberline.

Trinity Sammons, Emmett: Had a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds in a 55-46 win at Ridgevue.

Mikale Roy, Owyhee: Scored 20 points to lead the Storm to a 59-53 victory vs. Mountain View.

Jayden Glaze, Skyview: Racked up a game-high 18 points and added seven steals as the Hawks scored a 49-47 win at Rocky Mountain.

Abbi Roubidoux, Fruitland: Poured in 24 points as the Grizzlies topped Homedale 64-50 to remain atop the 3A SRV standings.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Hudson Fields, Garden Valley: Recorded a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds in the Wolverines’ 76-54 win over Salmon River.

Bayler Perrin, Mountain View: Erupted for 32 points in a 70-50 win over Skyview, and finished the week averaging 20.5 points and two assists per game.

Jack Keller, Columbia: Scored 26 points to lead the Wildcats to a 61-42 win vs. Emmett.

Cameron Morales, Caldwell: Racked up 33 points and 11 rebounds in a 55-49 win at Columbia. He finished the week averaging 22 points and eight rebounds while shooting 60% from the floor.

Jude Porter, Boise: Scored 25 points and added five assists to lead the Brave to their first win of the season, a 52-42 victory over Capital.

Tyson Hughes, Ambrose: Hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer in overtime and scored 10 points to lead the Archers to a 53-50 victory at Cole Valley Christian.

Ryan Radford, Nampa: Sank a game-winning shot at the buzzer to lead the Bulldogs to a 49-48 win at Vallivue.

Tyler Medaris, Middleton: Posted two more double-doubles with 18 points and 11 rebounds at Caldwell and 14 points and 11 rebounds vs. Ridgevue.

Dallin Criddle, Liberty Charter: Posted 18 points and 21 rebounds in a 63-35 victory at North Star Charter.

Jacob Martinez, Vallivue: Had 32 points and 10 rebounds in the Falcons’ 59-43 win at Emmett.

GIRLS WRESTLING

Dahlia Yerby, Emmett: The freshman led the Huskies to the team title at the Big Mountain Invite in Burley by pinning her way to the 106-pound title.

Mia Furman, Rocky Mountain: Cruised to the 138-pound title at the Big Mountain Invite with three first-round pins.

Toni Avelino, Caldwell: Scored two pins and a tech fall to run away with the 106-pound title at the Caldwell Girls Invite.

Sophie Sarver, Mountain View: Pinned three of the four opponents she faced for the 120-pound title at the Caldwell Girls Invite. The fourth left with an injury.

Mariah Skelly, Fruitland: Pinned all three opponents she faced for the 132-pound title at the Caldwell Girls Tournament.

Clare Waite, Boise: Two pins in less than a minute led her to the 145-pound crown at the Caldwell Girls Tournament.

Hallie Campbell, Columbia: Racked up three straight pins for the 160-pound title at the Caldwell Girls Tournament.

BOYS WRESTLING

Hunter Williams, New Plymouth: Went 6-0 with four pins to win the heavyweight title at the R.D. Brown Memorial Invite.

Cade White, Meridian: Racked up four pins, three of them in the first round, to win the 145-pound crown and lead the Warriors to the team title at R.D. Brown Invite.

Tucker French, Capital: Brought home the 220-pound title from R.D. Brown with a pin of Nyssa’s Jesse Aragon in the finals.

Carson Exferd, Nampa: The sophomore scored bonus points in every match while going 4-0 to win the 120-pound title and lead the Bulldogs to the team trophy at the Red Halverson Invite in Minico.

Matthew Martino, Bishop Kelly: Handed Nampa’s Simon Alberto Luna his first loss of the season with a 2-1 decision in the 113-pound finals at Red Halverson.

Cael Palmer, Kuna: Scored a 17-3 major decision in the 160-pound finals at Red Halverson to win his second straight major tournament.

Shilo Jones, Mountain View: Pinned Wendell’s Isaac Finley in 1:02 for the 220-pound title at Red Halverson.

Aidan Go, Caldwell: Pinned his way to the 126-pound finals at the North Idaho Rumble, then scored a major decision for the title.
