Vallivue 3, Jerome 2 (2 OT): Raoul Barragan headed home a golden goal in the 93rd minute to lift the Falcons to their first state championship game since 2002.
Barragan got on the end of a cross from his brother, Alex Barragan, who made a run down the right side. Raoul Barragan finished off the play from 10 yards out to set off a celebration at Bonneville High.
“It was kind of like a blur,” Vallivue coach Christian Adamson said. “It’s something you dream of.”
Vallivue (11-3-0) will face Blackfoot (16-1-0) at 2 p.m. MT Saturday at Bonneville for a shot at the first state title in program history.
Raoul Barragan also scored the opening goal, and David Campos Briceno scored as well for the Falcons.
