Winners of the Treasure Valley athletes of the week (Dec. 30 to Jan. 5)
Voting has closes for the Treasure Valley Athletes of the Week contest sponsored by Edmark Toyota.

- Wrestling: Mia Furman, Rocky Mountain
- Girls basketball: Katrina Vallejo, Caldwell
- Boys basketball: Cameron Morales, Caldwell
WRESTLING
Payton Lanningham, Columbia: The senior won the girls 143-pound bracket at the Rollie Lane Invitational and was named the meet’s most outstanding female heavyweight wrestler.
Mia Furman, Rocky Mountain: The freshman pinned five opponents in 1 minute, 41 seconds or less to win the 116-pound girls bracket at Rollie Lane and improve to 22-0.
Charley Hastriter, Capital: The junior made an underdog run to win the 220-pound boys bracket at Rollie Lane as the tournament’s fourth seed.
Marrissa Jimenez, Caldwell: The sophomore was named Rollie Lane’s most outstanding female lightweight wrestler after winning the 130-pound bracket with an 8-6, overtime decision over Idaho Falls’ Brigid Shannon.
Hunter Mitchell, Kuna: The junior rallied from a 7-3 deficit in the third period and pinned his opponent to win the boys 120-pound bracket at Rollie Lane. His title helped Kuna win the Rollie Lane team title for the first time in program history.
Dedrick Navarro, Nampa: The freshman won the 98-pound boys bracket at Rollie Lane with a last-second, 5-4 over Boise’s Lucas Kanownik, avenging his only loss of the season.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Ellie Fraas, Cole Valley Christian: The sophomore racked up 22 points and five rebounds to lead the 2A Chargers to a 63-48 victory over 5A Centennial at the Timberlion Tournament. She sank 10-of-13 free throws in the game.
Katrina Vallejo, Caldwell: After tearing her ACL at Timberline last year, the senior scored 16 points in her first game back in the same gym. She averaged 10.6 points, two steals and two assists per game to lead the Cougars to a 3-0 record at the Timberlion Tournament.
Ava Ranson, Timberline: The senior averaged 21.3 points and 4.3 assists to lead the Wolves to a 3-0 record at the Timberlion Tournament. She scored 20 or more points in all three games.
Jaleesa Lawrence, Meridian: The junior averaged 14.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.7 steals to lead the Warriors to a 2-1 record at the Timberlion Tournament.
Betsey King, Eagle: The senior point guard erupted for 24 points and eight rebounds to carry the Mustangs to a 44-39 overtime victory over Lake City.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Cameron Morales, Caldwell: The sophomore racked up 14 points and 10 rebounds in a 63-46 loss to Jerome.
Sean Austin, Kuna: The junior racked up 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists to lead the Kavemen to 54-44, 4A SIC victory over Bishop Kelly.
Jaxon Dines, Homedale: The freshman poured in 20 points, six rebounds and three steals in the Trojans’ 60-51 victory over Cole Valley Christian.
Paul Yenor, Ambrose: The senior scored 21 points to lead the 1A Archers to a 55-40 win over 4A Emmett.
Cruz Duerden, Cascade: The junior sank 4-of-5 3-pointers to rack up 18 points and added six rebounds in the Ramblers’ 66-62 overtime win over Liberty Charter.
