Saturday’s 1:30 p.m. kickoff against UNLV is the exception, not the rule.
Boise State announced Monday that its next game, Nov. 14 against New Mexico at Albertsons Stadium, will kick off at 8:15 p.m. MT and will be televised on ESPNU. Boise State does not receive a TV bonus for games televised on ESPNU. That also means all six of Boise State’s home games will have 7 p.m. or later kickoffs this season, as Nov. 20’s home finale against Air Force begins at 7:30 p.m.
The Broncos (7-2, 4-1), who have a bye this week, won 60-49 at New Mexico last season.
MOUNTAIN WEST PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: San Diego State swept the weekly awards, with running back Donnel Pumphrey (offense), defensive back Damontae Kazee (defense) and kicker Donny Hageman (special teams) claiming the honors. Pumphrey ran 20 times for 121 yards, scoring a pair of touchdowns, and added 47 receiving yards and a touchdown. Boise State freshman quarterback Brett Rypien was nominated, but got snubbed after throwing for 469 yards (fourth in school history and most ever by a MW freshman) and a pair of touchdowns, also adding a 4-yard touchdown reception in the 55-27 win over UNLV.
