Boise State football learns full 2025 schedule. Two big conference challengers come here
Boise State football learned its full schedule for the 2025 season on Thursday afternoon when the Mountain West released conference matchups.
The schedule features an eight-game conference slate, including home games against UNLV and Colorado State, the two teams that finished one game below Boise State in the standings last year.
For the second season in a row, the Broncos also will have two bye weeks: week 3 (Sept. 13) during nonconference play and week 11 (Nov. 8) after four conference games have been played.
The schedule also features zero back-to-back road trips for the first time since 2016. Boise State will host back-to-back home games against New Mexico on Oct. 11 and UNLV on Oct. 18.
How does Boise State’s season pan out?
The Broncos open the season on the road for the fifth straight time when they travel to South Florida for an Aug. 30 game. It’s the first time the two teams have met.
The Broncos will host Eastern Washington on the weekend of Sept. 6 before enjoying their first bye. Boise State’s Mountain West Conference opener follows with a trip to Colorado to play Air Force, the first journey to Colorado Springs since 2022.
That’s not the start of a strict conference slate, though, because two nonconference games come next: at home vs. Appalachian State before the big game on the schedule, in South Bend, Indiana, to play Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish finished as national runner-up, losing to Ohio State in the title game.
It’s nothing but league games after that: at home vs. New Mexico, UNLV, Fresno State and Colorado State, and on the road to face Nevada, San Diego State and Utah State.
The Mountain West championship game is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 5. The team with the best conference record hosts the game, which the Broncos did last season. They have won back-to-back conference titles.
