Boise State football locks in 7 assistant coaches for 2025 season. See who’s coming back

Coach Spencer Danielson has been busy making sure the Boise State football team is equipped for another run at a championship.

Danielson announced contract extensions Friday for seven of his assistant coaches. The extensions are pending Idaho State Board of Education approval. Terms were not disclosed.

The Broncos locked in Erik Chinander (defensive coordinator/defensive line), Stacy Collins (assistant head coach/special teams coordinator/linebackers), Jabril Frazier (Edge), Benjamin Hilgart (director of sports performance), James Montgomery (running backs), Tyler Stockton (co-defensive coordinator/safeties) and Demario Warren (cornerbacks) for the 2025 season.

It will be the third season at Boise State for Hilgart, Montgomery and Warren, and the second season for Chinander, Collins (second stint) and Stockton. Frazier will be heading into his 10th total season with the Broncos, including his time as a player.

Boise State finished the 2024 season with a record of 12-2, won a Mountain West championship for the second straight season and qualified for the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history.

Earlier this offseason, Boise State promoted Nate Potter to offensive coordinator after Dirk Koetter announced his retirement. Matt Miller was then promoted to co-offensive coordinator, and Zak Hill returned to Boise State as pass-game coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
