Boise State dips back into Texas to add another graduate transfer in a position of need

The Boise State football team added a second graduate transfer to its 2020 recruiting class in four days on Monday when Rice offensive lineman Ozuma Osuji announced his commitment on Twitter.

Osuji will come in as a graduate transfer after spending the past four seasons at Rice. Last fall, he appeared in nine games and started one at left tackle. He redshirted as a freshman in 2016, and started the first six games of the 2018 season before missing three with a knee injury.

The 6-foot-6, 292-pound Texas native was a two-star prospect coming out of Coppell High, according to 247Sports. He is the fourth graduate transfer to join the team this offseason, following N.C. State linebacker Brock Miller, Stetson kicker Jonnny Messina and Lamar tight end Mason Sikes, who committed on Thursday.

Junior college transfers Divine Obichere (DT), Shane Irwin (DE), Riden leong (OL) and Jonathan Earl (CB) have also signed with the Broncos, and Irwin has been on campus since January.

The Broncos have to replace four starting offensive linemen this offseason, including left tackle Ezra Cleveland, who announced in December that he would skip his senior season and enter the NFL Draft.
