Boise State football jumps into AP, USA Today Coaches’ polls after blowout win

The Boise State football team jumped into The Associated Press Top 25 and USA Today Coaches’ polls Sunday for the first time this season.

The Broncos (9-2 overall, 7-0 Mountain West) are No. 24 in the coaches’ poll and 25th in the AP poll. They were No. 25 in the College Football Playoff rankings on Tuesday.

Boise State extended its streak of seasons with an appearance in the AP Top 25 to 16, starting in 2002. That’s tied for the eighth-longest active streak in the country.

The Broncos beat Air Force 44-19 on Saturday night at Albertsons Stadium. They wrap up the regular season Saturday at Fresno State (1:30 p.m., CBS Sports Network) and will play Fresno State again in the Mountain West championship game Dec. 2 (5:45 p.m., ESPN, likely in Boise).

Tickets to the championship game are on sale. Info here, in Air Force game recap.
