Another Boise State basketball player signals portal exit, leaving thin roster
Boise State junior forward Andrew Meadow plans to enter the transfer portal when it opens on April 7, becoming the fourth Bronco in recent days to signal their exit from the program.
Meadow announced his intention to enter the portal in an Instagram story on Thursday morning. The two-post story featured a screenshot with his decision to enter the portal, followed by a second post that read, “thank you Bronco Nation” with blue and orange hearts.
Meadow ended his junior year averaging 12.1 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. He developed into a 3-point specialist in his three years at Boise State, hitting 133 of his 261 attempts in 2026 for a 38.6% mark.
However, he’d often go long stretches of games without scoring or even taking a shot, including a seven-game stretch in the middle of conference play in which he reached double-digit scoring just once.
Meadow’s departure means Boise State will return zero regular starters from its 2025 squad. Dylan Andrews is graduating, senior Javan Buchanan and redshirt senior RJ Keene are entering the portal seeking a final year of eligibility, and junior Drew Fielder is departing after just one season.
Sophomore forward Pearson Carmichael is set to be the Broncos’ leading returning scorer (7.9 points per game). Behind him are freshman forward Spencer Ahrens (4.9) and freshman guard Aginaldo Neto (4.3), leaving head coach Leon Rice and his staff plenty of work to do to rebuild the roster.
