Mountain West reschedules 6 league games, including Boise State’s matchup at Utah State

The Mountain West on Monday began to chip away at its list of 23 postponed men’s and women’s basketball games.

The league announced that six games have been rescheduled, including two involving Boise State.

COVID-19 protocols forced the entire Boise State men’s basketball team to quarantine, resulting in the postponement of games at Wyoming (Jan. 1) and Utah State (Jan. 4) and at home against Colorado State (Jan. 7).

The Broncos’ game against the Aggies will now be played at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20. Television broadcast information will be released at a later date. By adding the Jan. 20 game, Boise State will play three games over five days, beginning with a home contest against Air Force on Jan. 18, followed by a trip to Logan (Jan. 20) and a road matchup at San Diego State (Jan. 22).

Meanwhile, the BSU women had games at Wyoming (Jan. 3) and Nevada (Jan. 6) postponed because of COVID-19 concerns within their opponents’ programs. The Broncos’ game at Wyoming has been moved to Tuesday, Jan. 25. A tipoff time will be announced at a later date.
