Take an inside look at the AC Boise stadium. Home opener is next Saturday

Boise’s new professional soccer team is one week away from its first home game after splitting a pair of road contests.

And the stadium, at the site of the former Les Bois Park horse racing facility near the Boise River, is ready to go.

AC Boise gave the media a look Saturday at the new digs, which will be packed with fans on Saturday, April 4, when the team hosts the Spokane Velocity, the defending league runner-up. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

AC Boise is one of five new clubs in USL League One, the third division of American pro soccer.

“We’re excited to build one of the best environments in the USL at home,” Jeremy Fishbein, Athletic Club Boise’s VP of Soccer, said in a news release earlier this year.

According to the team’s ticket website, the game appears to be a sellout already.
