Planning to spend July 4 outdoors? Here’s what weather, temps to expect in Boise area
If you plan on being one of the many spending the Fourth of July outdoors on Thursday, you’re in luck.
It’s shaping up to be a perfect early summer day in Idaho. Weather forecasts show a hot and calm July 4, ideal for grilling, lounging and swimming.
The National Weather Service in Boise forecasts a high of 89 degrees and calm winds. Clear skies are also expected, with NWS meteorologist Stephen Parker telling the Idaho Statesman that it should be dry in the Boise area for at least the next week.
The last time it rained in Boise was 0.06 inches on June 26, and the last significant rainfall was 0.4 inches on June 3.
It’s also going to get quite hot after Independence Day.
“Confidence is high that extreme heat will ramp up with the weekend and extend well into next week,” Parker said.
The National Weather Service does not forecast any rain within the next seven days. It expects temperatures to exceed 100 degrees starting Saturday (102), hit 105 on Monday and be in triple digits through next weekend.
