Want more snow? Looks like it’s on the way Wednesday for Boise and the Treasure Valley

More snow is expected in the frigid Boise area Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

The Weather Service’s Boise office issued a winter weather advisory from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., with 1-3 inches of snow possible in Boise and 2-4 inches in Caldwell, according to the forecast.

The NWS advised Wednesday morning travelers to “plan on slippery road conditions, which may impact the morning commute.”

The most snowfall is expected in the morning, with snow showers continuing through the afternoon. High temperatures on Wednesday are expected to be 27 or 28 in the Treasure Valley, as the region endures a weeklong cold spell.

Drivers should slow down on roads and watch for snow and ice, according to the weather advisory.

Wednesday’s forecast follows a string of snowy days, with around an inch falling in Boise on Monday evening, over 2 inches on Sunday and less than an inch on Saturday. On Friday, the Treasure Valley was hit with high-speed winds and squalling graupel.
