Idaho voters: Find out here who’s running for statewide office in 2022 elections

The filing deadline for the 2022 Idaho elections closed Friday afternoon, leaving Idaho residents with dozens of candidates to consider for statewide or federal office.

More than 50 people registered to run for 10 positions, including governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general and three congressional races.

All four parties in Idaho — Republican, Democratic, Constitution and Libertarian — intend to hold primaries this year. Races must have two or more candidates of the same party for a primary.

The Idaho Republican Party holds closed primaries, which means that only registered Republicans can vote in them. Democrats hold open primaries and allow anyone to vote, including Republicans and unaffiliated voters.

Independent candidates, such as Ammon Bundy, won’t be candidates in the primary elections on May 17. They will run against winners of the GOP and Democratic primaries in the November general election.

Below are the candidates that voters will have to choose from (R-Republican; D-Democrat; I-Independent; L-Libertarian; C-Constitution). The asterisk indicates the incumbent:
