A Georgia Powerball player narrowly missed the $143 million jackpot, but still snagged a sizable prize.

Someone in Lake City won $1 million after matching five numbers in the drawing Monday, July 29, according to the Georgia Lottery. The winning ticket was sold at ABC Green Farm on Jonesboro Road.

The winning numbers were 11, 27, 30, 33, 44 and red Powerball 16, according to the lottery game’s website. The Power Play option was 3x.

It marks the latest in a string of big lottery wins in the Peach State. Someone in Peachtree Corners won $50,000 in the July 27 drawing, and there was a $2 million winner in Powder Springs in the July 24 drawing.

There were two $1 million winners in Texas on July 29, although no one hit the game’s grand prize, results show.

The next Powerball drawing is Wednesday, July 31, with an estimated $154 million jackpot.

Lake City is about a 15-mile drive southeast from downtown Atlanta.
