The Ada County Coroner’s Office released the name of the man who died at a Boise-area intersection after a Monday night crash.

Joshua Colberg, 35, of Star, was pronounced dead at 3:05 a.m. Tuesday at the scene of the single-vehicle accident, according to coroner’s office news release on Wednesday. Colberg was driving an SUV east on Idaho 44 at about 11:57 p.m. Monday when he collided with a light pole at the southeast corner of the Eagle Road intersection in Eagle, the Ada County Sheriff’s Office said.

Colberg was the only person involved in the crash. Law enforcement said deputies and paramedics attempted life-saving measures.

The coroner’s office listed his cause and manner of death as “pending”
