Man dies in single-vehicle crash in Eagle. Ada County officials seek witnesses

One man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Monday night, and the Ada County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help with information.

A 35-year-old man was driving an SUV east on Idaho 44 at about 11:57 p.m. when he collided with a light pole at the southeast corner of the Eagle Road intersection in Eagle, the Sheriff’s Office said in a Tuesday news release.

Deputies and paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the driver died at the scene, according to the release. He was the only person in the vehicle.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office will release his identity after the victim’s family has been notified.

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Team is leading an investigation into the traffic accident, and has asked anyone who witnessed the accident or has pertinent information to contact law enforcement by emailing ACSOTips@adacounty.id.gov or calling 208-377-6790.

Tips also may be submitted anonymously through the Ada County Sheriff’s Office mobile app.
