Locust Grove and Ustick intersection in Meridian closed because of fatal crash
The intersection of Ustick and Locust Grove roads in Meridian was closed Monday night because of a fatal crash, according to a spokesperson for the Meridian Police Department.
The crash occurred at around 4 p.m., and a motorcycle rider was declared dead at the scene, police said.
Drivers were encouraged to use an alternate route, as the intersection was still closed as of 6:45 p.m., according to ACHD, which posted about a crash and evening commute closure earlier.
The Meridian Police Department’s crash reconstruction team is investigating the incident.
