Coroner identifies Meridian man who died in motorcycle crash near Lucky Peak

Officials released the name of the man who died after a motorcycle crash near Lucky Peak over the weekend.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office identified 21-year-old Brandon Tschida, of Meridian, as the motorcyclist who died after he was hit by a Ford truck on Idaho 21 in Boise., according to a Tuesday news release from the coroner.

Tschida collided with the truck after he crossed into oncoming northbound traffic at about 6:24 a.m. Saturday, the Ada County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Law enforcement said he was taken by Life Flight to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. Tschida was pronounced dead at 8:24 p.m. Saturday in the hospital’s emergency department, according to the coroner’s office. The coroner listed Tschida’s cause of death as multiple blunt force injuries and the manner of death as an accident.

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash and requested witnesses or anyone with information to email atacsotips@adacounty.id.gov or call non-emergency dispatch at 208-377-6790.
